We would like to fill those spaces so we are offering a newsletter special - 10% off on the following treks!

July

Pyramid Peak - July 15-21

Skolai Pass - July 29 - Aug.

August

Seven Pass - Aug 10-17

Iceberg Lake - Aug. 24-28

Skolai Pass Aug. 26-30

We can also schedule a private trip for just your group at a variety of points during the summer. Give us a call and we can put together a custom trip for you. Private trips are the same cost per person as our group trips.

Below are two treks that we are featuring. Both of these fall in the moderate range of difficulty and are 5 days in length. These are perfect if you want a true backcountry experience with out the commitment of a point-to-point backpacking trek.

Skolai Pass

Skolai Pass

5 Days | July- August | Moderate Difficulty

Skolai Pass is one of the top spots in the backcountry of Wrangell-St. Elias. It offers an unbeatable combination of varied and stunning vistas as well as being our top route for spotting critters.

Black and brown bears, dall sheep, mountain goats, caribou and more are seen in Skolai Pass and nearby Chitistone Pass.

We usually do this route as a loop trip which means we have a lot of flexibility and can adjust our itinerary to suit the interests and abilities of the group.

Typically we do a mix of backpacking and base camping which allows us to see more country but still not carry full packs every day.

Iceberg Lake

Iceberg Lake

5 Days | July- August | Moderate Difficulty

Iceberg Lake is perfect for those wanting lots of drama but not as much backpacking. We alternate between backpacking and base camping on this one.

We set camp for a few days, do some day hikes then move camp down the ridge where we do some more day hike exploring. And there's a lot to explore. The Iceberg Lake valley is one of the most spectacular areas in the park and that's saying a lot!

High ridge walks, dramatic hanging glaciers, glacier crossing... and lots more. Good place to spot bears too. You'll come home with a boatload of amazing photos and memories from this trek.
