Just a quick post to share some good news – it’s finally snowing here in Eagle River! After getting off to a slooooow start this winter we finally got a good dump over the last couple of days. So the XC skis are out and waxed and seeing some action.

Here is a quick shot off the balcony and into the back yard. Most of this snow fell in the last three days so it’s pretty exciting, if you like that sort of thing. Which I do.

Temps are going to be heading down a bit here, but cold in Eagle River means around -5 which is not really cold by Alaskan standards.

Anyway, I’ll be posting some more trip reports in a day or two. Just wanted to send you a snow shot from the north country.
